Trust Bar/ Bar honesto

At Sant Blai we have a "Trust Bar" with many cold and hot drinks . It is a self service bar where you can drink all you like with total confidence and pay at the end of your stay. When you arrive to the Finca, we provide you with one of our little notebooks and there you can write all your drinks. We work hard to make you feel very welcome at our home, and we consider that it is more comfortable for you to be free , like at your own home. We would like to use the chance to thank all our guests for your honesty and to also ask if you think that there is any kind of drink that you miss, so we can get it for you.

The wine cellar is supplied with lots of local wines, we have a good selection of spirits and liquors, as well soft drinks, juices, champagnes,waters... We have also added a good selection of teas, and the coffee is made in a very good quality Saeco coffe machine that mills the coffee in the same instant that you prepare it.

En Sant Blai tenemos un " Bar Honesto" con muchas bebidad frias y calientes. Es un bar de autoservicio, donde pueden tomar lo que les patetezca con total confianza , y abonarlo al final de su estancia. Cuando llegan a Sant Blai les proporcionamos un pequeño librito donde anotar sus consumiciones. Trabajamos muy duro para que Uds se sientan cómodos en nuestro hogar y consideramos que es mas comodo para Uds sentirse libres , como en su propia casa.

Queremos aprovechar para agradecerles a todos nuestros clientes su honestidad y también preguntarles si hay alguna bebida que echen de menos , para que podamos traerla para su próxima estancia.

La bodega tiene muy buenos vinos locales, tanemos una amplia selección de licores, , refrescos, zumos,cavas, aguas..... También hemos añadido una selección de tes y el cafe es muy bueno , con una cafetera de alta calidad Saeco que lo muele al momento de hacerlo.

New wine cellar / Nueva bodega

Today we have been in the Bordoy bodegas, in the next village to us : Lluchmajor. This new vineyard has created the excellent Sa Rota wine (red, white and rose)

The finca was known in oldern times as Sa Torre ( 1369) 2 parts of the old house and buildings have been totally refurbished and converted into a professional, state of the art wine cellar, since 1993. Nowadays the vineyards cover an area of 18,5 hectares and the Bordoy estate cultivates Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and also Chardonnay.

The wine production combines the highest quality grape with latest technology, and then stores the wine in barrels made with the finest Oak from France and Hungary.

The result, a beautiful wine called Sa Rota, at the moment in 4 different qualities ( and growing!): The Añada (the youngest) , The Crianza (medium) , the White and the Rose.

Now they are also working in the Reserva, the oldest wine, but it needs some more time.

We have been enjoying the visit today and from here we thank you all for showing us your fantastic cellar, and for letting us know the aroma, colour, and taste of so beautiful jowel.

Hoy hemos conocido las bodegas Bordoy, en Lluchmajor, el pueblo vecino. estas nuevas bodegas han creado el Vino Sa Rota: tinto, rosado y blanco.

La finca conocida antiguamente como Sa Torre ( 1369) se dividió y dos partes pasaron a manos del Sr Bordoy quien con su saber hacer las ha reformado y convertido muy profesionalemente en Las Bodegas Bordoy que son hoy, desde 1993. En 18,5 Hectáreas se cultiva ahora Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz y Chadonnay.

El estilo se une a la mas avanzada tecnología y a la mejor calidad, y las Barricas donde el vino descansa se han importado de Hungría y Francia , hechas con su mas fino Roble.

El resultado: un precioso vino que se llama Sa Rota, en 4 diferentes calidades de momento (aunque está creciendo!) : La añada (el mas joven) , crianza ( medio) Rosado y Blanco. Están trabajando también en el Reserva pero necesita mas tiempo.

Hemos disfrutado la visita hoy y queremso ,d esde aquí, agradeceros la atención y trato recibido, y también por dejarnos conocer el aroma, color y sobre todo excelente sabor de vuestras joyas!

Birth/ Nacimiento

Today we have been visiting the farm next door to us, as one of the pigs has had babies. It was so pretty, so beautiful the little pink piggies!!! We have been able to stroke them and to see how sweet and hungry they are all the time. Mum has been sleeping while the babies feed. There is one, you can see him in the photo, that reminds me of Babe a lot, have you seen the movie? He looks smart ! Maybe I can convince Roger to keep him at Sant Blai... It is a shame that there aren't children right now at Sant Blai, as we could probably go there to visit the beautiful family! Next time!

Hoy hemos visitado la granja vecina para ver a una cerdita que ha sido mama. Ha sido una experiencia preciosa ver a los pequeños cerditos rosas! Los hemos podido acariciar y ver como mamaban tan desesperados y hambrientos todo el tiempo. Su mama dormía mientras los pequeños se debatian el turno para succionar la leche. Había uno especial, que pueden ver en la foto, que me recuerda a Babe, el cerdito valiente, han visto la película? Tiene un aspecto muy avispado! Quizá pueda convencer a Roger para quedarnoslo en Sant Blai... Es una lástima que ahora no hay huéspedes con niños, porque podríamos haberlos llevado a ver a la preciosa familia! La próxima vez!

Fiestas in Campos/Fiestas en Campos

Today and tomorrow is the Big Fiesta in Campos. It is the local farming Feria that has several shows and exibitions to show the local products, animals and farming tools in the area. There is a very complete program with: Animal show marquees, meats , wines, olive oil and cheese tasters There is also popular dancing and concerts, a display of antique and modern agricultural tools and machinery - there is even a show about how to milk a cow and also champion cow in Campos!!

The main avenue in Campos has been full of people. It is nice to see that all the village goes to this feria to support the farmers, even with the rain! We , of course, have been there, also to show our support, and to try the nice products from our locality! Some of the cheeses and meats we will serve at breakfast tomorrow, so our guests can try them too.

Hoy y mañana son las Fiestas de Campos. Es una importante feria enfocada a la agricultura y a los granjeros de la zona. Se han concertado numerosos actos para mostrar productos locales, animales y herramientas de labranza y granja. Hay un programa muy completo con : animales de granja, degustación de carnes, vinos,aceites de oliva,quesos, baile popular y conciertos locales, muestra de maquinaria y herramientas agrícolas antiguas y modernas, muestra de ordeño de vacas y concurso de las mejores vacas de la zona, ..etc

La avenida principal de Campos se ha convertido en un bullidero de gente que ha acudido en apoyo a los granjeros y a nuestros productos, incluso con la lluvia! Nosotros, por supuesto, hemos estado allí para mostrar nuestro mas sincero apoyo y también para degustar los productos de nuestras tierras. Varios quesos y carnes serán ofrecidos a nuestros clientes en el desayuno de mañana, para que también los prueben.

Rock in the rain/Rock en la lluvia

Well, finally it is raining. It has been a long time since it last rained, we really need it as the countryside is very dry. Rock seems to be enjoying the rain a lot. He runs in the fields and has great fun. Vespa and the cats are not enjoying it so much! The bad side, well, you can see him in the photos below! I think we will need to bath him, but we prefer to do it when the rain stops, as there is no point to do it before. He is so naughty...

Bueno, finalmente llueve. Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde la última vez que llovió, y lo cierto es que ya era muy necesario porque los campos están muy secos. Rock disfruta con la lluvia. Le gusta correr en el campo y se divierte mucho. Vespa y los gatitos no tanto! La parte mala...bueno, lo pueden ver en las fotos! creo que vamos a tenerle que dar un buen baño, pero lo haremos cuando cese la lluvia, ya que no merece la pena hacerlo antes. Es tan travieso....
